I typically assess wind direction and strength before initiating my approach, aiming to maintain a crab angle to counteract the crosswind drift. As I transition to final approach, I gradually transition into a side-slip maneuver to align with the runway while maintaining a slight crab angle. Once over the runway threshold, I smoothly reduce throttle and use coordinated aileron and rudder inputs to maintain alignment and counteract any remaining crosswind drift.
